God is good!
We have spent our last five years and counting now in one of the most visually stunning states of our union. Now the LORD (and the Army) is sending us to a new land, actually the same state where David grew up and where Rebekah was born. Fort Hood awaits us in November and because of the blessings God has given us, we will soon be able to purchase an RV and hopefully buy our own house when we arrive in Central Texas. November may seem like a long way off now, but this time we have left in Alaska is going to pass faster than we could possibly think.
And what have we accomplished in this short time spent up here at the top of the world? In the last five years, David's grandmother has passed away and his father. But the LORD has also given us two new boys, Daniel (who just turned three years old) and Jonathan (who is five months old today.) Rebekah has blossomed into a ten-year-old young lady and Benjamin is now a young man of nine years. Kimberly, who was born just before we moved up here is an extremely smart (and beautiful) five-year-old.
Every one of the immediate family members who grew up with either David or Jenny has been able to visit us in Alaska at least one time, with the final visit made by Aunt Lizzie, who departed the Great State just a couple days ago. We hope that each of our family members left here with good memories of our family and the beautiful place that God has made. Additionally, Jenny was able to visit Georgia once with Kimberly and once with Daniel while we lived up here and the whole family was able to visit the Lower-48, including a big trip incorporating nine state in thirty days.

The purpose of this blog is to provide information for those who wish be informed of the updates of the lives of the Snethen Seven. David has a couple more trips to Anchorage before block leave and then we'll be in full swing toward moving. Everything will happen so quickly that it is important to write it down. I can't promise that it will be updated every day. But as for me and my family, we will honor and follow the LORD.
God is good all the time!!
